Maafkan bila ku tak sempurna

I managed to watch this touching Indonesian movie during raya (though not fully – missed the starting, some skipped parts in the middle but got to see the ending). Really captured my attention, someone who doesn’t really watch Indo movies (Pocong 2 was the most recent one 4 months ago which I got it recorded from Kirana in our Astro Max…quite scary siot!)

Back to Ayat Ayat Cinta. I don’t even know the actors in the movie but salute the creativity of the director who managed to produce an Indonesian movie (supposedly its background is in Egypt) without having to use too much of other languages but their own. I guess it’s the storyboard that really matters, not the language.

And I was never really a fan of Rossa, but the soundtrack with the same title, is simply awesome and Rossa did justice to it! Her voice just blends superbly with the music & melody of the song. She managed to give a crying sensation (ceh…mcm Syafinaz komen kat AF pulak) to the song. Loving it! I can listen to it over and over again. I even made it my caller ringtone for my husband…chewahh…Not much of the lyrics though coz the words are actually sad (I think it’s meant for Maria, the character who dies at the end of the movie) but the melody and vocals, I guess.

Well, I plan to buy a DVD of the movie so that I can watch it again but I think downloading from internet is more budget friendly…kahkah. Haven’t managed to do so but I’m very determined since I didn’t manage to watch it in full. It’s one of those movies that you watch and still get you thinking about it the next day!

29 October 2008 – my brother welcomes his first child when my sister-in-law gave birth to a baby girl at 4.50pm, my mom’s 13th grandchild. That makes up a total of 9 girls out of the 13. My mom, despite having 4 boys out of 5 children (the 5th is yours truly), is now having more girls in the family!

Another thing is the fact that all my brothers and myself had girls for our first child. Isn’t it ironic?
